The U.S. Navy is hosting the event with a parade of more than 50 warships and 30 Class A tall ships.
The United States Navy and Coast Guard are hosting an International Naval Review in the New York Harbor to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary on Independence Day. The parade on the Hudson River, which has been billed as “the largest maritime and aerial gathering in American history,” will include more than 50 U.S. and foreign warships and over 30 Class A tall ships.
An International Aerial Review will take place during the event, featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and allied military aircraft.
The review may be observed free of charge from The Battery, Battery Park City, and Hudson River Park in Manhattan and from Liberty State Park in New Jersey. A watch party with a military band will be held at Alice Austen Park on Staten Island. The naval review will also be televised.
